David and Jason Benham are noted prolife advocates. David recently received a $20,000 settlement from the city of Charlotte, NC after he was wrongfully arrested for engaging in peaceful prayer and sidewalk counseling outside an abortion facility. As part of the settlement agreement county officials acknowledged that "peaceful advocacy on public sidewalks and public streets is governed generally by First Amendment law regarding free speech in a traditional public forum." Their father, Flip Benham, is credited with leading Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe of Roe v Wade) to Christ.
